The Best Weapon Runes in The Forge – Ranking
How to read the table:
Shooting Range (S/A/B/C) - overall usefulness in combat (DPS + control + convenience).
Evaluation - on a 10-point scale.
Secondary stats The runes are random; in the table - what better to catch.
| Tire | Rune | Main effect (base) | Best Secondary Stats | Where to get it | Evaluation | Why is that |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | Drain Edge | Life Steal I: treatment 4-11% from physical damage (cap) 5% HP) | Attack Speed / Crit Dmg / Lethality | Reaper | 9.6 | The best all-rounder: dramatically increases survivability without losing DPS |
| S | Blast Chip | Explosion I: explosion 20-40% weapon damage, chance 8-20% | Attack Speed / Crit Chance / Lethality | Bomber Skeleton | 9.3 | The strongest AoE for farming mobs and quick clears |
| S | Frost Speck II | Ice II: freezing 3 sec, chance 30-40%, cd 15–20 sec | Attack Speed / Crit Dmg / Lethality + chance for up to 3 additional traits | Ice Golem (rare version) | 9.2 | Top Control in PvP/Elite: A Window for Free Damage |
| A | Chill Dust II | Snow II: slowdown 10-25% (move+atk) on 5–10 sec, chance 30-60% | Attack Speed / Crit Chance / Lethality + chance for up to 3 additional traits | ice golem | 8.9 | Very strong utility, especially against fast enemies/players |
| A | Venom Crumb | Poison I: 4-7% damage/sec on 3–6 sec, chance 25-35% | Attack Speed / Lethality / Crit Chance | Blight Pyromancer | 8.2 | Stable DoT, good on "thick" targets |
| A | Flame Spark | Burn I: 5-10% damage/sec on 1–2 sec, chance 15-25% | Attack Speed / Crit Chance / Lethality | Deathaxe/Elite Deathaxe/Reaper/Blazing Slime | 7.9 | A good early/mid option, but weaker in numbers than poison and explosion. |
| B | Frost Speck (I) | Ice I: freezing 1–2 sec, chance 10-20%, cd 15–20 sec | Attack Speed / Lethality / Crit Dmg | Crystal/Diamond/Prismarine Spider | 7.4 | There is control, but it is noticeably weaker than version II. |
| Developer Sigil | TBA | Events/Special Receipts | No stable data means nothing to evaluate |
🛡️ The Best Armor Runes in The Forge — Ranking
| Tire | Rune | Main effect (base) | Best Secondary Stats | Where to get it | Evaluation | Why is that |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | Ward Patch | Shield I: reduces incoming physical damage by 6–14%, chance 5-15% when hit (does not work on ranged attacks) | Vitality / Swiftness / Endurance / Surge | Special receipt (quest/event) | 9.4 | The most “honest” protection: it works almost always and stacks with other Shield |
| A | Rage Mark | Berserk I: at HP 35 % gives +12–26% damage and speed on 4–7 sec, cd 50–60 sec, does not stack | Vitality / Swiftness / Endurance / Surge / Phase / Stride | Elite Rogue Skeleton / Orc | 8.6 | The best comeback: pulls you out when you're already on the edge |
| B | Briar Notch | Thorn I: reflects 2-10% physical damage, reflection cap 5% HP for proc, cd 0.05 sec | Stride/Phase/Surge/Endurance/Swiftness | Deathaxe/Elite Deathaxe Skeleton | 7.2 | It's okay against "little things", but in serious fights, reflection rarely decides due to the cap |
A Mini-Guide to the “Ideal” Secondary Stats
Weapons (DPS): Attack Speed → Crit Chance → Lethality → Crit Damage (Fracture - situational).
Armor (survivability/mobility): Vitality → Swiftness → Endurance → Surge (Phase/Stride - if you dash a lot).
Below are 4 ready ones rune assemblies under maximum damage и maximum survival: separately under mobs и Bosses.
Builds — ⚔️ Maximum Damage
1) Farm mobs (AoE, quick clears)
Base (mandatory rune for weapons):
Blast Chip (Explosion I) - explosion on target: 20–40% weapon damage AOE, 8–20% chance to strike.
Important: Explosion partially stacks with other Explosion sources, increasing the explosion damage % specifically.
If 1 slot on a weapon:
Blast Chip with bonuses: Attack Speed / Critical Chance / Lethality.
If 2 slots:
Blast Chip + Chill Dust II (Snow II) - slows down attack and movement speed by 10–25% + 5–10 sec, 30–60% chance.
If 3 slots:
Blast Chip + Chill Dust II + Frost Speck II (Ice II) - freezing 3 sec, 30–40% chance, KD 15–20 sec.
Secondary stats priority for mobo farming:
Attack Speed I (+5–18%)
Critical Chance I (+6–15%)
Lethality I (+5–15% physical damage)
Critical Damage I (+5–15%)
2) Bosses (stable DPS + window for safe damage)
Base (mandatory rune for weapons):
Frost Speck II (Ice II) freeze for 3 seconds, 30–40% chance, KD 15–20 sec.
Pro: Tier II runes can have up to 3 additional traits — it’s easier to collect “ideal” stats.
If 1 slot:
Frost Speck II (better for difficult bosses due to control).
If 2 slots:
Frost Speck II + Blast Chip (some of the damage will go into AOE, but the DPS increase is usually noticeable).
If 3 slots:
Frost Speck II + Blast Chip + Chill Dust II (even more control/security).
Secondary stat priority for boss damage:
lethality
Critical Chance
Critical Damage
Attack Speed
(For ranges, see the Charka page.)
Builds for 🛡️ Maximum Survivability
3) Survivability against mobs (don't die in a crowd)
Weapon (required rune):
Drain Edge (Life Steal I) - heals 4-11% from physical damage from a hit, but with a cap up to 5% Max HP for the proc.
Life Steal partially stacks with other Life Steal sources (increases healing, but the cap remains).
Armor (required rune):
Ward Patch (Shield I) - chance 5-15% reduce incoming physical damage on 6-14% (does not work on ranged attacks), Shield stacks.
Ward Patch refers to “special” receipts (usually start/quest/event).
If 2-3 slots on a weapon (for “survivability through control”):
Drain Edge + Chill Dust II (slow) / Frost Speck II (freeze).
Secondary stats priority (for a tank in mobs):
On the armor: Vitality (+5–10% HP) → Endurance (+4–10% stamina) → swiftness (+4–10% MS) → Arises (-3–11% dash CD).
On the weapon: Attack Speed (to heal more often) → Lethality/Crit.
4) Survivability against bosses (avoid one-shots/bursts)
Armor:
Ward Patch (Shield I) — the basis for damage reduction.
If there are more slot(s): Rage Mark (Berserk I) as “insurance” - turns on when HP < 35%, gives +12–26% damage and MS + 4–7 sec, KD 50–60 sec, does not stack.
(Yes, it's more about a "comeback", but it's often the bosses that decide things.)
Weapon:
Drain Edge (to survive constant damage)
Frost Speck II (if there is a slot) - a “window” for risk-free DPS.
Secondary stat priority (for bosses):
On the armor: Phase (+4–11% iFrames Dash) → Arises → Vitality → Endurance
On weapons: Attack Speed (healing) → Lethality (close phase faster).
Quick Rune Selection (If You Don't Want to Think)
Max damage to mobs: Blast Chip (+AS/crit/lethality) + Chill Dust II
Max damage to bosses: Frost Speck II (+lethality/crit) + Blast Chip
Max survivability (mobs/bosses): Drain Edge on weapons + Ward Patch on armor
