All simulacra in Genshin Impact: how to solve the puzzles

Simulacra in Genshin Impact are small, owl-like stone statues found throughout Chenyu Valley. They come in several varieties and are used to solve puzzles, complete time trials, or assist in exploring the world. In this guide, we'll explain the different types, how to use them, where they are located, and how to solve all the puzzles involving lighthearted Simulacra. We'll also provide a handy map with the locations of all currently known puzzles.

How do simulacra work?

Use the power of Adepts on simulacra to activate related puzzles or time trials and receive corresponding rewards. They come in several types, which we will discuss below.

Angry simulacrum

The statue is character-sized and, most often, with a red die above its head to represent a challenge. Interact with it using the power of the Adepts and you will be able to launch the pearls into a convenient place, and then be attracted to them and get where you need to go. If a red cube is burning above the simulacrum's head, use its power to pass the time trial, placing the pearls so as to collect all the Geo Particles.

Flying simulacrum

The smallest figure, entwined in the flow of Anemo and allowing anyone who happens to be nearby to jump high. It helps you quickly climb high mountains and is used during some time trials. Just walk up to it and press the jump button, and the statue will launch your character high into the air.

Carefree simulacrum

A small statue of an owl with folded wings that can be moved using the power of the Adepts. Almost all of the puzzles with these simulacra rely on placing them on empty green platforms and sometimes completing an additional request to receive a reward. For example, a figurine may ask you to deal with nearby enemies, place fragments of ruins in the right places, or solve riddles with lotuses. Follow their requests and you can get additional chests.

Sacred

The sacred simulacrum is the second form the carefree takes when it falls into place. Most often he says phrases that are followed by nothing, but in some cases he may ask to solve a puzzle for an additional reward. Next, we’ll tell you how to complete all the riddles with light-hearted simulacra.

Simulacrum riddles in Genshin Impact: how to solve

There are a total of 21 carefree simulacra in the Chenyu Valley. Each one gives a hint where it needs to be moved and what to do to get a reward. Some, after they are in their place, I can give additional tasks: for example, to deal with monsters nearby or to place fragments of walls in their places. You can find all the statues using the map that we presented above, and then we will tell you in more detail how to solve the riddle of each simulacrum.

Simulacrum 1

In the northern ruins of the upper Chenyu Gorge there is the first riddle, to solve which you will need to place two simulacra in their places and place fragments of the ruins on the correct platforms. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Take the simulacrum in the center and place it "on the left side of the altar".

   

   

2. There is another one nearby that needs to be placed "on the right side of the altar".

   

   

3. Move the pillar next to the left statue onto the platform behind it.

   

   

4. Place the arch that stands opposite the right simulacrum on the last slab.

   

   

If everything was done correctly, the battle with the hilichurls will begin:

• in the first wave, two ordinary enemies attack, who do not pose much of a threat;
• then two mitachurlas with axes will appear;
• in the last wave you will have to defeat a lavachurl with a thunder helmet. We recommend that you first remove his Electro Shield with the Cryo character, and then finish him off with everything you have.

When you pass the test of battle, you will receive a luxurious chest.

Simulacrum 2

It is located by a stream south of Qiaoying Village, near a small waterfall. Take it and place it on the platform on the opposite bank, which will trigger a time trial.

The stone statue will give a clue: "This is the location of the Stone Forest, with three key positions: west, north, and east ." To solve the puzzle, destroy the three stone piles in the following locations:

• the first is to the right of the statue, near the stream;
• the next one is hidden behind the trees to the left of the waterfall;

  

  

• opposite the statue, behind the bushes, is the last pile of stones.

  

  

Once you complete the challenge, you will receive a rich chest.

Simulacrum 3

North of the Archon's statue in the upper Chenyu Gorge, you'll see the next simulacrum. Take it and you'll hear a request to return it "to its proper place . "

This is what you need to do to get a rich chest as a reward - just put it back in the same place where you took it.

Simulacrum 4

From the same statue of the Archons, move west, towards the pier with a sailboat. On a small hill between the shore and the path there is a platform that you need to interact with.

When you do this, bubbles will appear near the river that need to be destroyed. If you burst them all, you will get a regular chest and find a simulacrum.

He'll ask you to return him "to his original place ," that is, to the platform you explored before the bubbles appeared. As a reward for your help, he'll leave you a rich chest.

Simulacrum 5

Return to the same statue of the Seven and go east along the path until you reach a small bridge over a waterfall. To his right, near the pond, Cryo slimes and a simulacrum are waiting, which needs to be protected from them.

Defeat the enemies, take the statue, and fulfill its request: "Please return me to the river ." Place the simulacrum on the platform by the river to receive a regular chest and unlock the lotus puzzle nearby.

Simulacrum 6

Head to the ruins on the mountain east of the teleporter in Yaode Valley. Deal with the treasure thieves near the amazing chest and take the simulacrum that lies by the fire.

He'll ask you to return it "to the courtyard" —this spot is located next to a table under a small tree. For your help, he'll give you a regular chest and ask you to solve a puzzle involving fragments of ancient ruins. Arrange them as follows to receive the most rewards:

• Place the column to the left of the simulacrum on the platform next to it;

  

  

• move the wall at the opposite end of the ruins to the column;

  

  

• Place the remaining fragment on the last platform.

  

  

You will receive a rich chest as a reward.

Simulacrum 7

Follow the northern path from the teleport in Yaode Valley until you find a simulacrum sitting on stone cones.

When you pick it up, it will say it wants to "sit quietly and rest ." Continue along the path to the table near the waterfall and seat the simulacrum on any chair. In gratitude, it will leave behind a regular chest.

Simulacrum 8

The simulacrum is in ruins in the eastern part of Lingmeng Mountain. When you get to the place, you will see 2 statues: on the bench in the center and the one that stands in the middle of the ruins.

The first one is already in its place, so pick up the second one and, following the hint "How can you go to class looking like this?" , seat her on the bench near the green platform.

Afterwards, she'll say, "Everything's fine now, but the place is open." This line from the statue asks you to shield her from the strong wind. This can be done using the arch fragment lying in the middle of the ruins: pick it up, stand with your back to the rich chest, and place the fragment on the platform to unlock the reward.

Simulacrum 9

On the western peak of Lingmeng Mountain, there are three simulacra that want to admire the views. As per their request, place them on the correct platforms.

1. The simulacrum on the left says that “dense forests hide the tracks of animals” - so he asks to turn him towards Sumeru. Place it on the western platform, near the tree.

   

   

2. Next to him lies the next statue, which wants to see how "Azure waters merge with the azure sky" — his gaze should be directed at Fontaine. Place it on the southern platform, near the last simulacrum.

   

   

3. The third statue says the following: “I watch the swirling clouds rush by”. Place it on the last platform that faces the east side of Li Yue.

If you did everything correctly, you will receive a luxurious chest.

Simulacrum 10

Under the previous mountain, on the north bank of the river, there is a single simulacrum platform and many vases. It is not necessary to break them all, if you do not want to fight with two Cryo Jumpers - just break the westernmost wide vase, in which the simulacrum sits.

Take it and it will ask you to "help me get back to my place ." Break the wide vase on the platform, place the simulacrum there, and you'll receive a rich chest.

Simulacrum 11

At the western ruins of the Chizhang Wall, on a high mountain, next to a boiling cauldron, sits a simulacrum. Talk to it and you'll hear the following: "Slippery fish, oh so slippery, I caught it, but I don't want to eat it ." Place three sugar flowers in the cauldron to solve the riddle, and the simulacrum will reward you with an ordinary chest.

If you cannot interact with the boiler, check that the fire under it is burning and light it if this is not the case.

Simulacrum 12-14

These three simulacra relate to the solution of one common riddle and are located nearby. Below we will tell you in more detail where to find each of them.

Simulacrum 12

It is located at the destroyed bridge under Xuanlian Mountain and is guarded by Hydro the rogue hilichurl. The enemy has increased resistance to Hydro damage, so use other characters to fight him. When an enemy summons a slime, destroy it, thereby causing damage to the hilichurl itself.

After the battle, take the simulacrum and fulfill its request "I need to return to the Lotus Pond" by placing it on any free platform near the precious chest.

Simulacrum 13

Move to the left from the previous simulacrum to a cave closed by a barrier. Do not pick up the statue located on the pressure plate - instead, stand on the adjacent one, which will open a passage into the cave, from where you can pick up the next simulacrum.

He will ask for the same thing as the previous one - to be placed at the Lotus Pond. Place the statue on any free platform and go to the next one. If you accidentally took away the simulacrum standing on the pressure plate, then place the traveler's column, Zhong Li or Ning Guang's shield there instead. If you are playing with a friend, ask him to stand on the platform.

Simulacrum 14

Take the remaining simulacrum, place it on a free space and take a precious chest as a reward.

Simulacrum 15

The puzzle with the simulacra in this area is solved during the "Jade Blessing" quest chain . Return afterward to complete another request from the statue and receive all the rewards.

Approach the jade simulacrum and interact with it by selecting "hit" to trigger the puzzle. Three arches will appear on the water, which you must pass through in the correct order:

1. central;
2. right;
3. left

You can walk on water, so don't worry about stamina. If you did everything correctly, you will receive a precious chest.

Simulacrum 16

The next simulacrum will be encountered during the world quest "Jade Blessing ." It's used only to advance the quest and doesn't unlock any rewards, so it's safe to skip.

Simulacrum 17

Near the river, south of the bridge by the teleporter in Yaode Valley, lies the next simulacrum. Pick it up and, when it says "take me back quickly ," place it on the green platform near the bridge.

After this, the simulacrum will complain that it was lured here by deception and ask you to punish the villains. To do this, tap the "round jar in front" three times:

• after the first blow, a boar will appear, posing no threat;
• the second tap will cause a small hydro slime to pop out of the ground;
• the third hit will summon Electro the Jumper.

To make the battle easier, take the character's Cryo in advance. When you defeat your opponents, you will unlock a rich chest nearby.

Simulacrum 18

Teleport to the eastern jade vent and move west along the rock until you reach a cave hidden behind the trees - there is the next simulacrum and a small room closed by a barrier.

Before you take it, examine the rings on the water and a stream of golden carp will appear.

Take the simulacrum that says "it's time to go back and make some fish soup ," and enter the stream to get past the barrier at the end of the cave. Place the statue near the fire and loot the regular chest.

Simulacrum 19

Follow the path leading to Yilong Port until you come across a single simulacrum platform.

Continue along the pine cone path and you'll see a statue looking out over the city. Take it and discover that the simulacrum dreams "only of a path that leads to my mountain abode . "

Move it to the single platform you discovered earlier and get 1 rich and 2 normal chests.

Simulacrum 20

This simulacrum is located in the distant ruins east of the Chizhang Wall - defeat the Hilichurls to unlock it.

Raise the statue and fulfill the request "Put me in the vanguard" by placing it on the central platform on the roof of the ruins. Afterward, he'll ask the following: "Could you strengthen the defenses?" To do this, place the wall fragments opposite the simulacrum as follows:

• place the part that lies behind the statue’s back on the left green platform;

  

  

• Place the wall to the right of the simulacrum next to the first one so that the character faces the statue.

  

  

If everything was done correctly, the ruins will be attacked by several hilichurls, led by a lavachurl with a thunder helmet.

It is not necessary to finish them all off - fight until the simulacrum offers to help and places a clot of energy over the battlefield that can destroy enemies around. Pull yourself towards it using the power of the Adepts and you will be able to complete the test and take the precious chest.

Simulacrum 21

Head to the teleporter below Mingyuan Mountain and head south to where the river meets the sea. There's a camp of treasure thieves on the elevated area—defeat them and interact with the research point to collect the Strange Key.

Jump to the very top using flying simulacra and defeat another group of opponents, then interact with the cage and take the statue.

She'll ask you to follow the "fallen pine cones" —do so, heading east until you reach a green platform surrounded by squirrels. Place the simulacrum there and loot the precious chest.

Tests with simulacra: where to find

As you explore the Chenyu Valley, you will come across tests with simulacra, which represent the collection of Geo particles for a while using the mechanics of angry and flying simulacra. See their location on the interactive map above.

Rewards

For each carefree simulacrum, as well as for completing time trials, you can receive the following rewards:
