How to start the quest Restoring the Golden Path
Before the end of the task "Stairway to the Capitol" You will need to get into the palace by repairing the Golden Paths and weakening the castle's defenses. Both quests will automatically be added to your journal after you get out of the illusion and talk to Scylla.
Walkthrough of the quest Restoring the Golden Path 1 in Genshin Impact
The first quest starts north of Nobility Street. You have to solve a small riddle with the phantoms by returning them to their places and illuminating the forge with a light mechanism.
Search for the scattered "scores"
For the first task, you can find the lost symphonies near the Street of Nobility, in the northern cave. To get to the point faster, use Scylla: pull yourself towards it using “T”, or click on the whale symbol in the lower right corner, and send the Traveler to the location with the mission.
Return the flying bird phantasms to their rightful places
Carefully examine the fresco: it depicts several birds and a golden horn. Their ghosts hover near the images of some creatures, and some phantoms fly chaotically around the location. To solve the riddle, you need to find the phantom bird and return it to its place near the fresco: to do this, just swim up to the ghost, after which it will automatically fly to the desired image. There are three birds in total flying around the painting; they all need to be returned to their places.
Use the light-guiding device to illuminate the horn
When you deal with phantoms, you need to use light mechanism, which is aimed at the golden horn. Drive them and adjust the camera so that the real forge matches the one in the picture. To do this, use the navigation keys, or click on the arrows in the lower left corner.
When you match the drawing with a real object, it will light up, and a rich chest next to it will be unlocked.
Follow the bird phantasms
After solving the riddle, follow the phantoms: a cut-scene will automatically start where the birds are restoring part of the Golden Paths. Then you can proceed to the second part of the task.
Walkthrough of the quest Restoring the Golden Path 2 in Genshin Impact
The next quest starts at the western teleport of the Court of Harmony. During the passage, you need to restore the second Golden Path by solving riddles with phantom birds according to the same principle as in the first part of the mission.
Search for the scattered "scores"
For the second task, you can find the lost symphonies at the Court of Harmony, in a cave near the western teleport. Pull yourself towards Scylla to get to the quest area faster and swim towards the travel point, following the golden bee.
Follow the golden bee
You will be able to find a golden bee near the cave - follow it to the next riddle, opening teleports and collecting treasures. The companion will not go anywhere, so you can safely leave the path at any time to fight stone golems, pick up a chest and several resources. When you reach the mural, a short cutscene will play.
Return the flying bird phantasms to their rightful places
Unlike the birds in the first task, this time it’s not enough just to approach the creatures: you have to deal with several anemo slimes, jump on pink jellyfish and find a way to the top of the golden horn.
First bird
To the left of the light mechanism is the first phantom:
- Approach him and he will immediately fly towards the rock.
- Jump on the pink jellyfish, which will throw the Traveler up, or use characters such as Wanderer or Xian Yun.
- Continue following the bird, pushing off the jumping jellyfish.
When the phantom reaches the mural, go catch the next one.
Second bird
The second bird circles on top of the golden forge. To get it, jump onto the pink jellyfish to the right of the rock and touch the phantom: it will immediately fly to the fresco on its own.
Third bird
The third bird is surrounded by several anemo slimes:
- Take an archer into your squad and shoot the monsters.
- The bird will fly further on its own, but its path will be blocked by five more slimes, which also need to be destroyed.
Wait for the last phantom to fall into place and go to the mechanism.
Use the light-guiding device to illuminate the horn
The light mechanism works the same as in the first task: control it using the movement keys and match the golden forge with its copy on the fresco.
Follow the bird phantasms
Open the rich chest to the left of the mechanism and follow the phantoms to the place where they will restore the rest of the Golden Paths. After this, a dialogue with the dragon Scylla will begin, and the quest “Staircase to the Capitol” will also be completed.
Rewards
There are no rewards for completing these two quests, so the only things you can get are source stones and resources from chests that open after solving puzzles. You will receive the main reward for the related task “Staircase to the Capitol”.
