In order for the mission to appear, two conditions must be met:
- complete the previous stage of the quest chain Floating Skystone Fragment;
- talk to Zhi Qiong.

After the quest appears, head to the cliff. Don't forget about the luminiferous ore lying on the path - pick it up. It will come in handy when traveling.
Enter the passage leading into the depths and examine the black mist
Run up to the cliff and make a jump.
Unfold your wings and glide down. After a while you will see a passage. Dive into it. A new subquest will appear.
Find clues near the black fog and read the diary
If the quest Requiem of Echoing Depths has not been completed before this moment, a short cutscene will start.
The traveler will meet with Dainsleif, who will invite him to the bonfire.
You don't have to go anywhere. In this case, another quest will start.
Activate the teleport (it will come in handy later) and run towards the fog. Jump off the cliff.
Get close to your destination. A new subquest will automatically appear. Fill the Adjuvant with energy and go to the mark indicated on the map.

Ring the bells on both sides of the ruins

How to ring the first bell (southwest of Groundwater)
Return to the Stone Halls.
Go down the underground corridor, killing Geo slimes and hilichurls along the way. When you reach the edge of the cliff, turn right and run along the stone wall. Going to the river, also stick to the right side.
After leaving the dungeon, activate the teleport and fly to the other side.
Climb onto the roof of the collapsing building. Awaken the vine with Luminous Stone Adjuvant. In order for it to be filled with light, you need at least 3 strips of energy. You can charge the tool at the teleport. Other mechanisms can be unlocked in two ways:
- with the help of an adjuvant;
- striking the vine (it releases light charges that attack in the area).
After removing the barriers from the devices, new enemies will appear - the Black Armor attack aircraft (uses the Hydro element) and the standard bearer (uses the Pyro element). Defeat the opponents, approach the bell and hit it with a normal attack.
How to ring the second bell (south of the Stone Halls)
Teleport to the Stone Halls. Walk towards the stone and jump down. Land on the path and keep moving along it.
Run to the vine and turn left. Climb the hill, turn left and go down into the dungeon. Turn right. Jump off the cliff and glide towards the teleporter. Activate it.
From the teleport, fly to the remains of the bridge. Jump on it and go up the stairs. Near the building you will see a ruin thresher. Kill him and take the Rich Chest.
Climb to the second floor of the building and activate 4 lanterns:
- The first one is turned on with the help of a standing monument (it can be charged with Adjuvant).
- The second is located under the mud spring and awakens with the help of a fairy nearby.
- The third is also activated with the help of a fairy: bring her to him.
- The fourth is ignited with the Luminous Stone Adjuvant. If done correctly, a Precious Chest will appear. Collect rewards and take off with the help of the wind current that appeared after that.
Upstairs are two more lanterns. One of them will be activated by a fairy who flew in with the Traveler, and the other will have to be lit on their own. After the lanterns light up, approach the mechanism and interact with it. The grid will open.
Jump down and defeat the Ruin Thresher. Behind him is a bell: hit it. The bell will ring and a cutscene will start, after which you can proceed to the next subquest.
Approach the black mist and defeat the Voidreaders
Move to the Stone Halls. Approach the place indicated on the map. A dense fog swirls in the location.
Before the battle, it is advisable to complete the squad with heroes using Cryo and Hydro elements - they will help to remove enemy shields in the second half of the battle.
At the moment of approaching the destination, a video will be shown, after which you will need to fight new enemies - Readers of the Abyss. One of them Electro is Purple Lightning, the other Pyro is Abyssal Flame.
Pick up the items left after defeating the Abyss Readers (Special Magic Cube)
