How to start the Secret of the Hot Desert quest in Genshin Impact

To begin the Mystery of the Scorching Desert, you must have reached Adventure Rank 35. You must also complete the two preceding quests from the King Deshret and the Three Wise Men quest : The Missing Village Guardians and Crying from the Hospital . Once completed, wait until the following morning (6:00-8:00 AM), and the Mystery of the Scorching Desert will begin.

Gather all your heroes at the village entrance . A dialogue will take place here that will lead you to the next stage of the quest.

Head to the appointed place and talk to the hermits

The first puzzle in the Mystic Ruins involves three steles that must be rotated to illuminate them. Near the second stele lies the Guide to Offerings, which contains the clue: "Look upon the hall as a mortal and listen to the sacred instruction of King Deshret . "

To light all three steles, you need to turn them the following number of times:

• 1 stele (the one closest to the entrance) - 2 rotations;
• 2 steles (in the middle) - 1 rotation;
• 3 steles - 1 spin.

How to get through the maze with moving walls and pick up the chest

When all three steles are correctly rotated, the lift will open. You need to stand on it and activate it. The stove will go down, where you will need to defeat several molders and pick up a rich chest.

After that, you have to go through a small maze to get a regular chest. Walls will move, either opening or blocking the path. You can go through the maze in the following way:

• first go down to the wall with a blue crack and turn left from it;

• then go forward to the wall with two vertical stripes and turn right. The chest will be visible, but if you approach it, the wall will immediately move;

• in front of the wall blocking the passage, turn right, go around the wall and get a chest.

Then, to get another chest, you need to use the elevator again. It will be locked: defeat a few molders to activate it.

How to open the chest and climb to the top floor

After activating the unlocked elevator, go up and defeat the molders again. Defeating them will open a rich chest.

After this, you'll need to climb to the very top room. A Mysterious Message —a clue—lies against the right wall.

On the wall opposite the one with the rich chest, there is a blue button to activate the elevator. To go upstairs, you need to click on it twice.

• The first time - the lift will go down. Now get on it not required.

How to unlock the mechanisms and solve the puzzle of rotating steles

More Molded Ones await on the top floor. There are also red buttons on the floor, but they're currently inactive.
