The Wish-Granting Treasure Hunt in Genshin Impact is a world quest in Fontaine that introduces players to new NPCs and explores the intriguing relationship between Melusine and humans. To complete it, players must help Urville and Nadia understand what truly matters.
The guide shows how to complete the Wish Granting Treasure Hunt mission, where to find each of the lost items, how to open the barrier in the underwater gazebo and find the treasure.
How to start the Wish Granting Treasure Hunt quest
You can receive the task “Hunting for treasures that grant wishes” only after completing the quest chain “In the Footsteps of Narcissus.”
The mission begins in the Morta area, west of the ruins of Fort Charybdis. Teleport to the nearest point and immediately notice the main characters of the story: Yurville and Nadia.
Walkthrough of the quest “Wish Granting Treasure Hunt” in Genshin Impact
After talking with the NPC, the hero is automatically transferred to the “Rusty Helm”, where Yurville expresses his concerns about selfless help. There, the characters' backstory is revealed, and Paimon offers to help them.
Catch the lost
You need to find only 5 items:
- Small sink;
- Diving kit;
- Sunken Wallet;
- "The Gift" of Nadia;
- Tripod.
In the process, you will come across some thing that will also have to be taken away.
Return to the teleporter in Mort where you picked up the quest, dive underwater, and you'll immediately see the first quest item— a small shell . It's located next to a giant shell with spherical octopuses swimming around it.
Head north, where you'll spot the next item under some seaweed . It won't be added to your inventory, but you should pick it up.
Follow the designated route to the northwest and you will find a suspicious box with air bubbles coming out of it - this is a diving kit.
A little further on is another giant shell, inside which a marker is hidden. It contains a sunken wallet.
To the left, near another large shell, lies Nadia's Gift.
Nearby, inside the seaweed, is a tripod . Free it from captivity using the power of the rayfish swimming nearby. Attack the creature to acquire its skill, and use it on the highlighted spot in the seaweed (you can hold down the ability to aim).
Return to the Rusty Helm and find Yurville
After finding all the items, you must return to the Rusty Steering Wheel to see Yurville. To do this, use the teleporter above the marked point. Return the items to their rightful owners, and in gratitude, you will receive the "Mysterious Page X," which Yurville cannot read. It must be deciphered using the Book of Revelation from Melusine Kanotila after the quest "Secrets of the Book of Revelation."
Enter the underwater shelter
Following the quest, go to the teleport to the Salos Sea Plateau. It's better to attack the Xenochrome Plump near the waypoint in advance to get its skill. Be prepared, because enemies will immediately attack at the stone gazebo.
If this structure is blocked by a red barrier , you'll need to activate two puzzles located nearby. To solve them, you'll need to gain the power of an armored crab—they're found nearby. Attack one of the creatures and swim to the first puzzle.
The puzzle is located to the left of the gazebo, near the rock: there is a stream in which a sphere can be seen. It needs to be delivered to the hoop below. Hit the blue crystal to turn it orange - this will activate the flow and push the sphere further downstream.
Swim a little lower, where you will see a stone with glowing veins. Break it with the armored crab's power, allowing the current to pull the sphere into the ring. If everything is done correctly, the ball will fit into the hoop and light up, and one mechanism at the barrier will be unlocked.
The second puzzle is to the right of the gazebo, in the ruins. In it, similar to the first one, you need to connect a sphere with a ring. Only in this case is it necessary to block the underwater geyser yourself with the shield of the armored crab’s power. To do this, swim into the stream above the ring, placing a shield with the ability held down. Wait for the sphere to fall into place and the puzzle will be solved.
After this, activate the mechanisms in front of the gazebo and the barrier will disappear, allowing you to go inside and talk to the characters.
Find clues about the treasure
After a short conversation, Urville suggests looking around to find the legendary treasure. Examine all the highlighted spots: the sheet music, the bookcase , and the chest.
Nothing of value will be found, so you will have to return to Melusine and Urville. The latter manages to make out the incomprehensible lines of the message, which he himself wrote as a child. Melusine's memories never returned, so Nadiya asks to take a photo together so as not to forget about this adventure in the future.
Take a photo of Jurville and Nadia
Use the camera opposite to capture the couple. You can choose any dialogue option, but Yurville will not be able to sit on the chair due to his bulky diving suit. Once the photo is taken, the quest will end.
