The Discarded Chevron in Genshin Impact is a side quest during the Summer Sea Voyage event, which gives players the opportunity to revisit the Golden Apple Archipelago . During the quest, the Traveler must meet Fatui and assist him in exchange for information.
How to start the Discarded Chevron quest
To begin the quest, go to Dangerous Island and activate the mechanism (a small pool) located at the indicated point, which changes the appearance of the island.
After the island changes shape, a passage will open up to several elemental pillars and a four-leaf clover , activated by the Anemo character. Once activated, a wind current will appear in the center of the island, carrying the character directly to the Electro Hammerer , who gives this quest.

As soon as the Traveler is next to the hammer, Paimon will start a small dialogue, from which it will become clear that a member of the Fatui squad, like everyone else on the archipelago, is behaving strangely.
Find the chevron that Electro Hammerman is talking about
Upon initiating a conversation with the unknown Fatui soldier, the Traveler will note that he is not at all inclined to dialogue and constantly mentions some chevron . Paimon will suggest that they find the lost item to break the hammerman's trance and continue the conversation.
If you haven't yet found the Old Chevron during the archipelago's main storyline, head to Pudding Island . It's located in the area shown in the screenshot.
Once the chevron is in the hammerman's possession, he will come to his senses and tell them what happened on the island. It turns out that Chevka (that's the man's name) wasn't alone on the island, but with his colleague Yakov . While exploring the archipelago, Yakov encountered some " strange thing " that transported him to an unknown location. Chevka, trying to find Yakov, fell under the influence of Persikov's mechanism , which sent him into a trance.

After completing the dialogue, you'll need to descend to the elemental pillars. Next to the Pyro Monument is an Echo Shell , which tells you how to open the passage Yakov went through.
In order to open the portal, you must follow simple rules:
- first activate the white (Cryo) pillar;
- the second is green (Anemo);
- then - red (Pyro);
- and finally blue (Hydro).
If everything is done correctly, a small cutscene will start and a portal will appear that you will have to enter.
In the middle of the puddle, around which the pillars are located, you can also find a hidden chest.
Find Jacob
The portal that appears will lead the Traveler to the starting island of the archipelago. Chevka is already waiting there. From a conversation with him, it will become clear that Yakov is somewhere nearby.
Once the dialogue ends, head to the tent in the center of the island, where Yakov is located. Like Chevka at the beginning of the quest, he doesn't react to either the Traveler, Paimon, or his own friend.
Try to wake Jacob
After finishing the dialogue with Yakov, turn to Chevka, who will try to bring his colleague to his senses on his own. Unfortunately, there is no way to do this.
Look for other squad members
Chevka suggests that other squad members will help restore Yakov to normal. There are four members in the squad . Since two have already been found, the remaining members need to be found. To do this and initiate another quest chain, you must travel to Broken Island and find the Mirror Maiden.

For completing the quest chain of the Discarded Chevron you get:
