The source of the first dew in Genshin Impact is a Fontaine curiosity, a drop of dew floating in the waters of Morta. It differs from other pure waters in that it concentrates even more untainted primordial energy.

What does the Source of the first dew look like on the ground?

The source of the first dew is a large iridescent drop that stands out with its purple glow. Several more small dewdrops circle around it, separating it from the rest of the water with colorful reflections. Due to their size, the drops are difficult to miss, although their color scheme blends with the environment. Like all items for collection, they are also illuminated with a pair of sparks, which are noticeable from afar and make farming easier.

How long does it take to restore the Spring of the First Dew?

Like other curiosities, the source of the first dew is restored at spawn points after 48 real-time hours , that is, every two days.

If you urgently need to gather this resource for leveling up or don't want to wait, then ask to join other players' worlds. After asking permission to gather, repeat the same routes in co-op mode.

Where to find the Spring of First Dew in Genshin Impact: farming routes

All the curiosities are located underwater near the Ipsissimus Tower west of the Ruins of Fort Charybdis. You can collect 76 Springs of First Dew in a single run.

North of the tower

North of the Ipsissimus Tower, you can collect 28 Springs of First Dew . Head to the underwater teleportation point in the Morta region. Swim forward a bit, and you'll spot the first two in the coral near the giant shell.

Next, follow the path to the southeast, where another dew is hiding on large leaves just downstream.

A little southwest, on a leaf similar to the previous one, there is another drop.

Swim down to the southeast, where you will see the next four sources of the first dew in the thickets of glowing umbrella-like algae.

To the northwest of them, following the line of the bottom relief, you can notice two more drops near a cluster of algae.

Hiding in the giant shell to the west are the next two dewdrops. Open it with a normal attack to collect resources. There are two more drops near the glowing mushroom-like plant, and another one in the coral to the left of the shell.

Swim upward, where the next three sources of the first dew will meet on the next huge leaves.

On the larger leaf, where two green razorbacks and a red armored crab are swimming, there are two more drops. The underwater inhabitants will not mind if you take them, and will not attack.

Proceed southeast and go down to the very bottom again, where purple umbrella-like algae will be visible. Above the stone you will see one dewdrop.

A little further, in the thickets themselves, there will be a whole cluster consisting of seven drops. Two of them are in a giant shell, and the spherical octopus nearby is not guarding them.

At the Ipsissimus Tower

East of Ipsissimus Tower, you can collect 22 Springs of First Dew . Start at the nearest teleportation point, then dive and head southeast. The two outermost resources are found on green seaweed near the hat jellyfish.

The next three drops are nearby: head northwest and swim deeper. On a huge blue leaf opposite each other lies the necessary dew.

The third source of the first dew is on a small leaf a little to the east.

Two more springs are located a little further, if you move to the northwest. They hide in algae and coral.

Two units of the resource can be collected from a giant shell not far from the tower itself, at the very bottom. The dew is guarded by a hat-shaped jellyfish and two spherical octopuses, so be careful.

In the south, just above the previous place, there is a whole cluster of springs of the first dew, consisting of five drops.

In another shell further to the southeast there are two more dewdrops.

To the southwest and closer to the bottom there are two other drops.

Gradually emerge to the southeast and closer to the edge of the cliff you will notice another blue leaves. On one of them there will be two sources of the first dew.

And the last two are on the second one, which is hiding under the first leaf, next to the xenochrome jellyfish.

South of the tower

In the south of Ipsissimus Tower, you can collect 24 Springs of First Dew . Teleport to the nearest point and you'll immediately see two drops on a green leaf near the Xenochrome Sharpshooter.

Swim upward, closer to the surface, and in a giant shell near a pair of xenochrome jellyfish you will find two more drops.

Return to the teleporter. To the east of it, on the other side, you will see the next three dewdrops, around which green sharp rays swim.

Head north. Under the ruins, behind the giant algae at the very bottom, you will find the other two drops.

To the west of this place you will immediately notice large blue sheets on which you can collect three more units of the resource.

Follow the intended route to the northeast, where you will encounter four blobs: three on a blue leaf where sea creatures are playing around a xenochrome seal, and another in the kelp beds nearby.

Move to the northwest, where you will notice two dewdrops on the next leaves. One of them is lying on smaller algae, and the second is on a large one with seahorses.

To the northeast you can see three more wonders; they are located on algae similar to the previous ones. Two drops will be at the edges of the sheet, and the last one will be in its center.

Swim up, heading a little south. On one of the ledges are the last 3 springs, next to the fairy garden and green algae.

Where to buy Spring of the first dew

After completing the "Wild Fairy Erinyes" quest chain, you can exchange 30 Tidalium for 15 Springs of First Dew with Melusine Pashiw in the cave near the waterfall at Lake Urania. Each resource is only available once, so consider your budget before making a purchase.

How to get the Spring of the First Dew for free

In addition to collecting them in the open world, three curiosities can be obtained for free as a reward for Navia's test run. The test takes place during the character banner in version 4.3. Other ways to obtain the Source of First Dew for free may be added in the future, but nothing is currently known.

Why is the Source of the First Dew needed?

This resource is essential for leveling up a character from Fontaine, specifically Navia. Maximum hero ascension requires 168 First Dew Springs , so it's best to farm them in advance.
