Spiritual carp in Genshin Impact: where to find and why you need it

Spirit Carp in Genshin Impact are a valuable resource needed to level up the Treasured Jade . They can be found throughout Chenyu Valley, among mountains, caves, and waterfalls. Every five Spirit Carp yield valuable rewards, including prayers, ascension materials, mora, teapot decorations, and an exclusive profile card. This guide will provide a convenient route for collecting Spirit Carp, explaining the locations of each one, and where to deliver the items to receive valuable rewards.

Where to Find All Spiritual Carps in Chenyu Valley in Genshin Impact: Map and Directions

Spirit Carp are scattered throughout Chenyu Valley, located in northern Liyue. There are 50 of them in total , and for your convenience, we've prepared a map with all the routes to help speed up their collection. In the open world, a Spirit Carp appears as a bright blue star; when you get close enough, it will appear on the minimap as an upside-down flame.

Once you've collected 40 Spiritual Carp and delivered them to the Treasured Jade, the remaining 10 will appear on the map as small blue areas—head to them and explore the surrounding area for materials. Complete the quest " Cloud-Covered Path to Chivan Abode" to unlock the shrine, access its rewards, and find the final 10 Spiritual Carp.

The map has indicated the complete route for searching for materials; then we will tell you in detail where to find each of them.

Spiritual carp #1

Go to the Archon Statue in the east of Chenyu Valley and run south until you reach the waterfall. Grab yourself towards the pearl above him and turn the camera east, towards the distant mountains - you will see a carp a few meters from the character.

On the mountain south of the first carp, several anemo slimes are flying, guarding the chest. Open it when you deal with the enemies and, using the air flow that appears, get to the next item.

Return to the Archon Statue and go east to the river. At the top of the boat you will see the required material.

Go to the eastern teleport of Lingmeng Mountain and turn your character towards Qiaoying Village. Behind the nearest tree, on top of a small house, you can find another carp.

Return to the teleporter and run northwest along the mountain, along the river, until you see a single gazebo. Climb to the top and solve the puzzle with geo particles:

1. Collect 3 particles on top of the gazebo.
2. On the opposite side of the roof, 3 more pieces will appear that need to be collected.
3. Go down one tier below and pick up 6 more particles.

When you collect all the geo particles, a pearl will appear on top of the gazebo, which will lead to the Spiritual Carp.

Climb the mountain south of the gazebo where the 5 carp were located and go to the tree near which there is a cauldron. There is a pearl right above it - by reaching towards it you can get to the next material.

Move west along the cliff until you come across a stone statue - it is looking at a tree with a carp above it. Interact with the statue to launch a water pearl towards the material, and then gravitate towards it and pick up the item.

This material will become available as you complete the quest " A Walk Through Wanshan Hall Worth Remembering ," which requires you to explore a cave near Mount Lingmen.

Travel to the teleporter north of Lingmeng Mountain and turn around to see the waterfall - in the center of it is a fire totem on a floating platform, and next to it a Spiritual Carp is flying in the air.

When near the teleporter, look down and find a stone statue with which you can increase the character's jump height. Use it to get to the middle of the waterfall and pick up the material.

Climb to the top of the waterfall and head east along the mountain. Upon reaching the ruins, turn left and follow the stone path until you encounter the Ruin Guardians. Defeat them and approach the luxurious chest, near which lies the Ruin Mechanism Core.

Go back along the stone path until you see a small depression on the right with an inactive ruin guard. Interact with it and insert the mechanism you found earlier into it. When you defeat the enemy, enter the cave and immediately find a Spiritual Carp.

Go north from the defeated Ruin Guardian along the stone path, to the place where you obtained the Ruin Mechanism Core. Go through the arch and you will see a cobweb on the left, and behind it is the desired item. Destroy the obstacle with any attacks and take the carp.

Go to the teleport near Qiaoying Village. In the center of the village there is a huge statue of a teapot, entwined with tree roots - on top of it is the Spiritual Carp.

North of the teapot statue is a tall building with the 13th carp on its peak.

Travel to the teleporter on the mountain east of Yilong Port and go down to the southern wooden bridge. The item is located near the tree hanging over the cliff.

Go down to the very bottom of the shore, northeast of the port of Ilong, and find a stone tablet there that contains the next item.

Move to the top teleportation point of Yilong Port and find a tall tower in the north - the next item is located on its top. To the left of Yilong Port there is a test with a chest and three fairies, during which you can get a Spiritual Carp. It floats too high in the air and the only way to get it is to activate all the altars:

• The first fairy is located north of the chest, near a lone tree on the edge of a cliff. When you approach her, she will hide in one of the holes - interact with them to find the fairy, then lead her to the altar.

  

  

• The second fairy is located opposite the chest, next to the hilichurls. Defeat them and she will fly to the altar.

  

  

• The third fairy flies at the top of the tree, west of the chest. Defeat the hilichurls nearby and use the stone simulacrum to teleport to her and lead her to the altar.

  

  

When you open the chest, interact with the point that appears, which will send the character to the very top, to the puzzle with the platforms.

Destroy all the anemo slimes with the help of an archer and interact with a new point that will take you even higher. Deal with the slimes again, then move to the last platform and you can pick up the Spiritual Carp.

Go to the teleporter on Mingyuan Mountain and jump down towards Yilong Port. As you fly, you will see a lone hilichurl guarding a precious chest, and on the edge of a cliff there is a tree with a Spiritual Carp above it.

Return to the teleporter on Mingyuan Mountain and fly south until you see a small tent city with an archer tower - the following material is floating on top of it.

Travel to the teleporter south of Mingyuan Mountain, turn west and jump off the cliff. As you fly, you will see a carp on a curved tree, which stands in the camp of the treasure thieves.

Return to the same teleporter again and head to the nearby mountain to the south. On top of it stands a flying simulacrum, and right above it is another Spiritual Carp.

Travel to the western teleporter on Mount Linmen, turn south, and climb to the summit. There you'll find a puzzle with carefree simulacra that need to be arranged as follows:

Before you can claim the carp, you need to pass a simple test at the western Jade Vent. Go to the teleport in the south of Mingyuan Mountain and get from it to the southern fragment of the ring, to the rounded part at the very top.

1. Interact several times with the disabled Ruin Hunter who is sitting in front of the grate.

3. Turn towards the grate and remove another shard to the right of it to get rid of the water.
4. Among the rocks there will be an exploration area containing a Rusty Key.
5. Insert it into the grill and collect the carp.

Where to find Chizhang Fragrant Tree

Go to the ruins southwest of the Chizhang Wall, where you found carp #29, and place the structural parts near the main staircase as follows:

2. Place the arch behind the incense.
3. Place a tall column at the base.

Interact with the incense to receive the Chizhang Fragrance Tree.

How to get Spirit Carp

Return to the Chizhang wall and interact with the vessel opposite the grate. Place the Huangcun and Chizhang wood pieces in it, after which the gate will open and you can pick up the desired item.

Head to the teleporter east of Yaode Valley and climb the southern mountain to the fallen tower. Inside you'll find a wondrous chest, and underneath it is a clover you can use your anemo power on. The resulting air current will help you reach the Spirit Carp.

Travel to the teleporter near Yaode Valley and turn east, towards the destroyed stone teapot. Grab yourself to the pearl above it and climb inside to pick up the item.
